This is the place to get away from daily hustle. Excellent location, top notch service and lovely well maintained little pods. Two types of pods for front row: 4 (double bed and sofa bed) perfect for families with kids. Back row: 6 (double bed and 4 single beds, bunk style). All the pods get great views. Don’t miss the sunrise!
Camp site is in a great spot, but I wish these cabins were actually on the beach and not behind a four foot wall, the stone wall hampers your view a bit when sitting out front of the cabin. Also, if it is hot out you will bake in these rooms, as there is almost no ventilation, which made our sleeping experience far from the best. Additionally the camp site is pretty active and can be quite noisy.
If staying here you will want to check your bags at the desk before exploring as check-in is not until later in the afternoon.
A group of us had a few pods for a weekend in October. I can’t fault it what so ever. Everything was spotless from the pods to the kitchen area, the communal toilets and the outdoor space. It is Glamping so don’t expect a hotel room! I’m 6’5” and had a comfortable sleep with enough room. There is no cooking facilities in the pods but the kitchen isn’t that far. There is a microwave, a sink and a fridge however. I’m definitely going back there 👌🏻
Would definitely recommend glamping to take the pain out of camping! It was brilliant to have a proper bed and our own shower and toilet in the pod, plus right on the beach!
They also have space to pitch tents with shower facilities if you’d prefer.
Cathy on reception was an absolute pleasure to deal with, giving us lots of info and help such as bringing us extra towels as we had forgotten beach towels.
A beautiful place to get away from it all while still having your creature comforts… we will be back !
Had the pleasure of stay here this week, in one of the Clochán glamping pod. Beautiful view of the beach, Irish weather at its best (ex hurricane) but we felt safe and warm inside the pod. Mattress was a little hard for me, but I like them a little softer. Shower was amazing, fantastic pressure. Kitchenette was very handy and had what you need. Staff where friendly and very accommodating, we ended up needing extra duvet and there was no problem with that.
Really close to the town, the pubs and bikes rental places. Highly recommend and we will be back.
These little pods are so cute and conveniently located. Not a far walk for those who've just gotten off the ferry. Also a close walk to the bike rental places if you don't want to try and manage a bike and your luggage at the same time. …
Literally just back from here and had a super experience, so easy to check in, kids loved it as we have camped in the past so this was very posh👌 our pod was spotless and the view of the sea was beautiful. The pod was super cosy for …
This is the only campsite on the island and this is really obvious because the pitches are overpriced - €16 per person per night. This price does NOT include a shower which you need a €2 coin to operate, reception do not stock change. You …
